Issue descriptionChrome Version : 68.0.3440.106 OS Version: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS URLs (if applicable) : http://plaintextoffenders.com/ask Other browsers tested: Firefox Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari: Firefox: FAIL IE/Edge: What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Go to http://plaintextoffenders.com/ask What is the expected result? To see a form with several fields, to see a submit button. What happens instead of that? Only a big white box appears. Screenshot attached. The issue could be with Chromium not allowing cross-origin iFrame loading, since the iFrame in question is on the tumblr.com domain, whereas the site is on plaintextoffenders.com domain. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Thanks for the help. I opened the Developer Tools Console tab as requested, in an anonymous Chromium session. Screenshot attached: indeed it shows some errors. Any suggestion?

Yes the first line indicates the tumblr iframe has X-Frame-Options set to deny which means it can be embedded in an iframe. So Chrome is working as designed. Please contact the site author to get it fixed; sounds like they are embedded an incorrect tumblr link.

Thank you for the help. After exchanging some emails with the author of the site PlainTextOffenders.com, two suggestions arose: 1) accept Tumblr privacy consent permissions (GPDR); 2) switch off any ad blockers on PlainTextOffenders.com. The second suggestion fixed it for me. In particular, switching off EFF Privacy Badger on PlainTextOffenders.com now makes the site work. |
