Chrome should save my password locally and sync it to my account.

What went wrong?

Did this work before? Yes 68

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.81 Channel: stable
OS Version: Ubuntu 18.04

As a back story, upon upgrading from 68 to 69, all my local passwords were gone. I managed to re-sync them, however the next day, they were gone from both local and my account.
Then this issue started occurring.

Hi David,

thanks for the report! I am sorry you are facing such an issue, this definitely should not happen in Chrome!

Can you please upload a couple of screenshot of chrome://sync-internals?
 - one on the "About" tab
 - one from the "Sync Node Browser" tab showing whether you have any entities in the Passwords folder

Thanks!
Hi,

Weirdly, it has all started working again and all my saved passwords have mysteriously re-appeared.

Unfortunately can't offer much help with this now, as even I can't reproduce it anymore. You can go ahead and close this report.

Removing the needs-bisect label as per C#6.

Alright, closing as not reproducible anymore then.

There are sometimes issues with reading the locally-stored passwords from the OS's keychain, maybe something like that happened here?
