Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. chrome://components to check for update and it just said not updated and wouldn't update
2. cleared cookies, reset chrome, deleted chrome and reinstalled from Google
3. tried incognito window

What is the expected behavior?
netflix and hulu play 

What went wrong?
Netflix said it can't find the component to play and hulu showed an error message. Talked with hulu support for 30 minutes and they said this is a recent issue. Haven't used my computer in 3 days because I was on vacation and I came back and it was broken.
