What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Navigate to a page with lots of text (in this case a Chromium code review) [1]
(2) Use the search feature (command-F) to search for text, in this case, "CopyTo"
(3) Type some text that does *not* currently appear on the page.  Search result is 0/0 
(4) Use the ] key to navigate to a new file on the code review, in the same tab [2]
(5) Note that the new file does have matches for "CopyTo"

What is the expected result?
The search result immediately updates as soon as the new text with matches appears.

What happens instead?
The search result does not update until the search chip is focused and I type something.
