White bar at bottom of NTP, navigate from omnibox

"When I navigate via omnibox from an NTP I see a white bar appear at the bottom."

This is super quick, but I believe this white bar is related to the bookmarks bar (bar hides after nav from omnibox, and image jumps vertically..see gif).
