Mailto links aren't working on Chromium under the Deepin Desktop Environment

An easy fix could be using xdg-open instead of xdg-email:
xdg-open 'mailto:example@mail.com'

As this issue needs to be tested on Deepin as desktop environment, this setup is not available at TE end to test and confirm the issue.
Hence CC'ing thomasanderson@ for help in further triaging of this issue.

This seems like an issue specific to a WM and is unlikely to get prioritized.  If this used to work but recently broke, your best bet might be to try a bisect: https://www.chromium.org/developers/bisect-builds-py. If we can pin-point a specific patch that causes the issue that might help it get addressed.
