sites load but navigation within i.e. facebook, pages hang and never load then oh snap

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.106 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. google search
2. select link
3. link never loads 

What is the expected behavior?
should load of course

What went wrong?
no idea

Crashed report ID: no

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? Yes not sure

Chrome version: 71.0.3547.0  Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.13.6
Flash Version: 

please fix, I love canary. My regular chrome will not store passwords despite confirming and making sure everything in settings is correctly checked.

Please can you attach the Apple crash log? Thanks in advance.
now it’s just endlessly loading. Where would I pull the log from? It has not crashed after 5 minutes.

Do you see a process with high CPU usage in the Activity Monitor, when Chrome hangs? If yes, maybe you can capture a sample from the hanging process and attach it here? Thanks.
