Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.81 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://jsfiddle.net/50vq8rw7/1/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Set z-index div to max and add some text. 2. Load up example YouTube iframe api. 3. Click YouTube player's full screen button. What is the expected behavior? Test text should still be visible above YouTube iframe api because of z-index setting. What went wrong? Test text is not visible. Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A Is it a problem with a plugin? Able to reproduce issue on reported chrome version 69.0.3497.81 & on latest chrome 71.0.3548.0 using Windows 10,Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.13.6. Hence providing bisect information below. The code does not work in Edge or Firefox either. The example code was taking advantage of a design for fullscreen that modified the existing layout instead of using the top layer design. This regression is anticipated and in fact fixes a number of other issues.

Thanks for looking into this! Glad this actually fixed many other things. What is the proper way to display div text above the YouTube iframe player when in full screen?

You could: 1) Use an extension to modified the youtube iframe. 2) Overlay something over the iframe to prevent the user from clicking the iframe fullscreening and request fullscreen on a div just above the iframe. I'm not sure on your use case but there are different things that you can explore that would work in other browsers as well. |
