"typed" transitionType in chrome.webNavigation.onCommitted not triggered from freshly opened tab

Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0
Steps to reproduce the problem:
Extension's background.js:
chrome.webNavigation.onCommitted.addListener(function(details) {
console.log(details.transitionType;
});
Steps to reproduce:
- Open chrome (fresh session. only single "New Tab" tab exists)
- Copy paste a url for example http://www.example.com
- Hit enter
What is the expected behavior?
What went wrong?
"typed" transition type is not recorded.
Note that if multiple tabs are opened and some are closed then new tab is opened then it suddenly starts working. Also starts working after refreshing the first tab.

As this issue unable to reproduce on latest chrome stable 69.0.3497.92 using windows 10 and This issue seems to be similar to Issue: 872665 , hence merging into it and marking it as Duplicate. Note: Feel free to Un-dupe it if not the case. Thanks! |
