Right-click on url to copy selects only part, not whole URL

Reported by ybo...@gmail.com, Sep 7

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.81 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to any website
2. Left click the URL bar to select the whole URL
3. Right click the empty space next to the URL
4. Note that only the part after last `/` is selected, not the whole URL

What is the expected behavior?
It should maintain the whole-URL selection when right-clicking (so you can 'copy' and later 'paste' the whole URL)

What went wrong?
In previous version of Chrome I would left-click the URL, then right-click to copy (and then paste to share URL). Now It only selects the last part of the URL making copy/paste useless unless I explicitly select the whole URL.

One work-around is to always right-click on the URL the first time, but that's not the behavior I got conditioned to use with the last 10 years of Chrome.

Did this work before? Yes version 58 and all other versions before

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.81 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.13.5
Flash Version:

Not a big issue, but in the last 2 days I had to back track (often re-opening closed tabs) at least 10 times (I share a lot) as I would paste what I thought was the whole URL, but instead it was just the hind part of it (useless).

ellyjones@, can you triage this bug, which likely started with MacViews?

(It works for me on Mac on Chrome 68; fails as reported on Chrome 69.)

I can't repro this. mehmet@, if you can, do you mind attaching a screen recording? If so please assign back to me :)

ellyjones@: It seems to be an issue in Chrome 69 Stable. It doesn't happen in Chrome 71 Canary anymore. Please see the attached screencasts. Feel free to close this issue. Thanks.

Probably fixed by your CL https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/1160768

Per bug 856609 it is fixed M70 and isn't merged to M69.
Status: Fixed (was: Assigned)
Okay, great. I don't think we should merge this to M69 at this point so I'm going to declare this Fixed.

Thank you for the swift work. Looking forward to the future Chrome release. Cheers!
