Issue descriptionChrome Version: 71.0.3545.0 (Official Build)Revision 38ca181b5b0849226f5f15de263301b40cd36b5d-refs/branch-heads/3545@{#1}(32/64-bit) OS: Windows(7,8,8.1,10),Mac(10.12.6 , 10.13.1 , 10.13.6, 10.14) and Linux(14.04 LTS) Pre-Condition: Enable "Enable using the Google local NTP" and "New Tab Page Custom Links" flags under chrome://flags What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch chrome, navigate to NTP and click on 'Add shortcut' icon to open the overlay. 2. Enter text in 'URL' text-fields and click on 'Done' button to create a shortcut 3. Now click on 'Edit shortcut' iron icon and type any text between "https://" in URL text field and click on 'Done' button,observe Actual Result: 1.URL Validation is not seen on entering any text between "https://" after clicking on 'Done' button 2.Blank thumbnail icon is seen on entering any text between "https://" after clicking on 'Done' button Expected Result: 1.URL Validation should be seen on entering any text between "https://" after clicking on 'Done' button 2.Proper thumbnail icon should be seen after entering any text between "https://" and clicking on 'Done' button This is regression issue broken in ‘M-70’ and below is the bisect info: Good build: 70.0.3532.0 (Revision: 585633) Bad build : 70.0.3533.0 (Revision: 586155) Narrow Bisect info: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/d24b31e29bf10c1490a19429dd5e1dea4cbf5d74..9c6ba22ab239412805bb386f09779c76d918bba3?pretty=fuller&n=50 Suspect: r586024? @kristipark: Could you please check whether this is caused with respect to your change, if not please help us in assigning it to the right owner. Note: 1.Providing suspect through 'chromium bisect' script because unable to perform bisect using 'per-revision' 2.Tried performing 'per revision' bisect on multiple Windows, Mac and Linux machines but unable to perform the same since getting following error: (a) Error message on Windows and Linux OS : Unable to find locale data files (b) Error message on Mac OS:[Errno 2] No such file or directory error message. 3.Issue is also seen on M-70 Dev build # 70.0.3538.9 Thank You! |
