Zen Garden crashes on NVIDIA shield

Project Member Reported by hablich@chromium.org, Sep 6

Issue description

Chrome Version: <TBI>

Message from kbr@:

Attempting to load https://s3.amazonaws.com/mozilla-games/ZenGarden/EpicZenGarden.html on my NVIDIA Shield tablet (fairly old, but still a pretty good mobile GPU, which supports many of the desktop OpenGL extensions which typical Qualcomm phones don't) is crashing the renderer process with a SIGBUS. Attached are the relevant lines from adb logcat.

This does not happen on other devices like Pixel 2

Follow up questions:

- Which Chrome version?
- What NVIDIA shield exactly?
- Could you provide a crashID/report?
Bill, we don't have this device in Munich, maybe you can have a look?
70.0.3535.2 (Official Build) dev (32-bit).

It's the first generation SHIELD tablet, (not the K1 edition), running Android 7.0 / NRD90M.1928188_1065.2559.

Unfortunately when the renderer crashes in this way it isn't generating a crash ID.

Does the TE team have any devices?

As per comment#4, there is no NVIDIA Shield tablet available with TE team.

Thanks!

Seems like Epic will provide us with a Zen Garden build that properly runs on other Android devices too. Let's wait for that to happen and see if it can be reproduced on more devices.
