A builder is oddly slow (build29-m4) |
|||||
Issue descriptionPlease provide the details for your request here. Set Pri-0 iff it requires immediate attention, Pri-1 if resolution within a few hours is acceptable, and Pri-2 if it just needs to be handled today. https://ci.chromium.org/buildbot/tryserver.chromium.perf/Linux%20Builder%20Perf/1415 That build is really slow. bot_update took 30 minutes... And there is more than half an hour spent in "steps" that is not showing up anywhere else. What's up with that?

I think the duration of the "steps" step at the very top is the cumulation of all the other steps. In other words, the duration of the "steps" step is always equal to the build's run time. That said, I'll try to figure what went wrong with bot_update in that run.

> I think the duration of the "steps" step at the very top is the cumulation of all the other steps That is clearly not the case here...

> That is clearly not the case here... It is for all other builds. There's a few unaccounted minutes that the build likely spent in the cracks outside the steps (eg: recipe bootstrap). It seems the machine generally had a hiccup; other infra services running on it experienced similar delays.

Everything looks good from here... checked eth, disk, etc

Well, the bot seems much happier now: https://build.chromium.org/deprecated/tryserver.chromium.perf/buildslaves/build29-m4 Not sure what was ever wrong w/ it. I'll chalk it up to transient machine weirdness. |
