Some idiot introduced 1000000 shades of white into the UI

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.81 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Chrome
2. Look at the interface
3. Attempt to stab your eyeballs out

What is the expected behavior?
UI Elements that are adjacent to each other should not be very-slightly-different-shades of the same color.

What went wrong?
Some idiot introduced 1000000 shades of white into the UI
