[a11y] Unnecesssary verbiage spoken by ChromeVox when attaching files in Gmail |
||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionVersion: 70.0.3532.8 Reproduction Steps: 1. Open ChromeVox 2. Compose a new message in GMail. 3. Activate attach a file. The file selection dialog opens but ChromeVox reads a load of garbage starting with "Chrome plugin: ...". It is a long utterance. 4. Select a file to insert it. When the file is being attached, there is a lot of unnecessary verbiage. Starting from the Gmail window title, the message body announcement, the help hit, etc. You are mostly going to miss the actual most useful confirmation that the file has been attached.

Google Chrome 71.0.3578.8 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) Firmware Version Google_Caroline.7820.384.0 This is even worse for me when following the steps above. ChromeVox didn't even tell me that it attached a file at all, instead it just started re-reading the email subject and starting saying something about tables rows and columns even though I don't have tables in the email draft. I attached two files to a draft with the same response each time. Alevanthal, would you like to take this even though it is Chrome OS specific? If not, please assign accordingly, thanks! |
