Problems with scharacter & word echo in documents

Reported by nickwest...@outlook.com, Sep 1

Issue description

Version: 68.0.3440.118
Reproduction Steps:
1.
2.
3.
I have turned on character and word echo and it works properly in this form for example, however when I use google docs or MS 365 it only echos characters and not words regardless of the setting in the text echo. I am using the Chrome Vox command of ChromeVox + a then T to toggle the echo. I have done it in both sticky mode and without sticky mode. the results have not changed. Is there another place to look for settings? Any help would be great. I am a A. T. instructor for Society for the Blind of Sacramento CA so, I am learning for personal use and to teach to others. thanks.

In Google Docs, you will need to turn on braille mode (accessibility menu -> settings). This will turn on a mode where Docs respects the screen reader's typing echo preferences.
