Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.57 Safari/537.36 Platform: 10895.21.0 (Official Build) beta-channel reef-unibuild (electro basking pyro sand snappy alan bigdaddy) Steps to reproduce the problem: This is tricky to reproduce - here's a video showing the steps below: https://photos.app.goo.gl/zAwwLyys62DWtSYm8 1. Load https://s.codepen.io/crfounder/debug/aamJPR/ZorBaKzDqPpM On a chromebook with EMR pen support (we used a Asus C213SA-YSO2-S with a EMR stylus). We were unable to reproduce this on a pixelbook with the pixelbook pen. 2. Observe that using the button switch between touch-action:none and touch-action:normal works properly - when touch-action:none is enabled, touch scrolling does not happen, and with normal, touch scrolling is enabled. 2. Turn touch-action to normal with the button, and scroll the page with touch, _while scrolling_ tap the screen with the stylus. This is triggered only if the stylus doesn't move during that tap so it has to be a short, sharp tap. 3. Now, toggle touch-action with the button. Observe that you are now unable to scroll the page with touch, even with touch-action set to normal. What is the expected behavior? Touch-action:none should still work when being toggled even after tapping the pen while scrolling. What went wrong? After this bug is triggered, touch scrolling does not work even with touch-action unspecified or set to pan, pan-y, etc. This state persists in the tab when refreshing the page - the only fix we have found is to open a new tab. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 69.0.3497.35 Channel: beta OS Version: Flash Version:

We've been getting quite a few reports from our education users of this issue as they are adopting the next-gen EMR pen chromebooks from Acer and Asus - any update on reproducing this? It's a big problem for our users, as they report it as the page freezing and they are unable to scroll. Cheers

Hi We have some new testing devices now, and this issue is also happening on the Acer CP311 N17Q8 and the Samsung Chromebook Pro v2 (XE510C25). As noted before, we are unable to replicate this on the PixelBook. Maybe it's caused by some common hardware to these new EMR devices? |
