Video scaling is off when docking / undocking from USB-C external display |

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10575.58.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.99 Safari/537.36 Platform: 10575.58.0 (Official Build) stable-channel eve Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Acquire an Acer B236HK 4k monitor 2. Acquire a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter 3. Plug in laptop to display 4. Close lid. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Look very carefully and notice that the mouse pointer's scale grew dramatically larger. Similarly, when you undock and go back to the normal display, the mouse pointer shrinks. I can work around this by toggling the display scaling back and forth which I'd imagine forces something to reinitialize the cursor image. Did this work before? Thanks for filing this bug brendand@, If you have a chance, please send a feedback after reproducing this(assuming it is consistent), via Shift+Alt+i and mention crbug/879403 in the description. Meanwhile we'll be checking on reproduction and DisplaySize influencing cursor-size only consistency.

There should be new stable version(M68) rolling out these days. Last qualified version 10718.88.2, 68.0.3440.118 was tested and unable to reproduce this issue using eve, 4K display B236HK and USB-C-to-DP Google dongle. Mouse cursor size is static one either the internal or external display over transitioning from and to docked status, or DisplaySize changing. Please check again after the new build is auto-updated. |
