Feature request: sync exact same content when switching to different Chromebooks |
|||
Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10895.33.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.58 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. I work on my Chromebook at work, close my Chromebook to go home. 2. I have another Chromebook at home. I open that Chromebook but content displayed are different - it pulls up recently used content on that particular Chromebook, and not the one that I used at work. 3. I need to find content that I worked on at work - this takes time. What is the expected behavior? I wish to have the exact same content in my work Chromebook as I left off at work and have it sync with Chromebook at home. So when I open my Chromebook at home, it opens up exactly the same as when I last worked on - saves time, delivering a truly seamless experience. What went wrong? Two separate Chromebooks show different content when opened. I want it to sync exactly the same, so I can save search time. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 69.0.3497.58 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10895.33.0 Flash Version: If users don't want this feature, we can have them either opt in or out (give them choice).

I think this is a valid feature request, but it'll probably be hard to make this work well in practice, and it *definitely* couldn't be the default.

Also bug 820172 is somewhat similar. |
