Project Member Reported by shend@chromium.org, Aug 30

Issue description

Chrome Version: 70
OS: Chrome

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Tap on an email text field

What is the expected result?
Maybe show "@" and ".com" keys? I think we did this in the old UI.

Status: Untriaged (was: Available)
Actually, marking this as untriaged so that we can discuss it at next meeting.

Hi Paul,
Could you play with Gboard Android/iOS?
Do we just going to reuse their keyboard layout?

We should consider this part of the improved suggestions project

Summary: Show special buttons for email fields (was: Should VK show special buttons for email fields?)
Ooops, misread this. Yes, we should do this. Making a P2, we'll group it into a bundle of work.

Promoting this to P1 - we should take care of this since it will affect many users on first login.

Gboard Android puts the @ symbol bottom left. Can we fit it between the Layout selector and the emoji icon (see attached) and still meet touch target guidelines?
