Closing profiles do not save state of all opened windows |
|||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version : 70.0.3521.2 OS Version: Linux What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Have Chrome setup with two profiles 2. Have multiple windows opened 3. Select "Close PROFILE" 4. Re-open Chrome What is the expected result? Chrome re-opens with all the previously opened windows. What happens instead of that? Only one window re-opens. Closing Chrome instead of closing the profile avoid this issue but it prevents closing a profile while one is open if it has more than one window.

mlamouri@ Thanks for the issue. Tested this issue on Ubuntu 17.10 on the reported version 70.0.3521.2 and unable to reproduce the issue by following the below steps. 1. Launched Chrome and setup two profiles. 2. Opened few windows and clicked on Exit Chrome. (Couldn't find the option "Close Profile" in the menu). 3. Re-opened Chrome and could observe the previous windows are opened. Attached is the screen cast for reference. Request you to check and confirm if anything is missed from our end in triaging the issue. Thanks..

When you have two profiles open, the profile "menu" shows "Exit $PROFILE". It does show up in the screen record.

mlamouri@ Thanks for the update. Able to reproduce the issue on Windows 10, Mac OS 10.13.3 and Ubuntu 17.10 on the latest Stable 68.0.3440.106 and the latest Canary 70.0.3538.5 as per comment #3. This issue is observed from M-60 chrome builds. On the latest Chrome builds, 'Exit profile' option is present, but on M-60 builds, 'Close all windows' option is seen. Attached is the screen cast for reference. Hence this is a Non-Regression issue and marking this as Untriaged for further updates from Dev. Thanks..
