What steps will reproduce the problem?(1) Enter text in the password field of the login screen
(2) Select all and hit 'backspace'
What is the expected result?
All the text is removed, the cursor blinks at the beginning of the input box.
What happens instead?
The text is cleared but returns when the cursor is visible, sometimes rendering two cursors, also showing the highlighted state.

This also affects the email field (I tested on ToT). I attached a screenshot with an example of what the visual artifacts look like (the text box is actually empty).
