Regression:Unwanted Grey patch is seen below MIC icon.

Issue descriptionChrome Version:70.0.3534.0 (Official Build)Revision 68a5d485789e45a91c9fa90aab4dd33113131ccd-refs/branch-heads/3534@{#1}(32/64-bit) OS: Mac(10.12.6 , 10.13.1 , 10.13.6, 10.14) . Steps to reproduce: (1)Launch Chrome, navigate to NTP and click on mic icon. (2)Permission bubble of 'Microphone' appears click on 'Block' button and observe the MIC icon. Actual Result : Unwanted Grey patch is seen below MIC icon. Expected Result: No such grey patch should be seen on MIC icon. This is a Regression issue, broken in 'M-70': Good Build:70.0.3531.0(Revision:585561) Bad Build :70.0.3532.0(Revision:585632) CHANGE-LOG URL: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/70.0.3531.0..70.0.3532.0?pretty=fuller&n=10000 Note: Unable to provide bisect: 1. Bisect tried on other machines. 2. Tried by increasing the regression range. 3. Tried chromium bisect script. 4. Unable to identify the suspect , requesting Dev team to check and help. I think this (the microphone issue) is Google.com related, and that you may have been in an experiment. Please confirm that: 1. You didn't have any flags enabled (which would have defaulted you to the remote NTP) 2. Try the same thing on google.com & check if you see the same thing I tried the same just now & see a slightly different

Update: Issue is reproducible on google.com and no flags are enabled in chrome Dev#70.0.3534.4. Kindly refer the attached screen-cast. Thank you!

Thanks for confirmation & for providing all of those screencasts shruti.jadhav@! This is definitely a Google.com issue ... though it may well be a feature they're experimenting with. The remote NTP integrates the same microphone component as Google.com into its fakebox. As such, I'm marking this WAI. |
