Impossible to turn off spellcheck for virtual keyboard

Reported by maiska.k...@gmail.com, Aug 25

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS aarch64 10991.0.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3524.2 Safari/537.36
Platform: 10991.0.0 (Official Build) dev-channel scarlet-unibuild (dru)

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Turn off spell checking for all languages
2. type in another language than keyboard
3. See autocorrect ion (yes, it just did that) kick in

What is the expected behavior?
There should not be autocorrected words when spell check is off for all languages, it defeats the purpose of the setting.

What went wrong?
Impossible to write in another language than keyboard language since every single word is destroyed.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 70.0.3524.2 Channel: dev
OS Version: 10991.0.0
Flash Version:

Experienced with both NO (Norwegian) and INTL (US International) keyboards, but not with RU (Russian).

Components: -UI UI>Input>VirtualKeyboard
Found workaround, the autocorrection setting is found under each keyboard config and doesn't obey the spellcheck setting at all. I guess this isn't technically a bug, but was unexpected.

Changing this to a feature request as there's a workaround.

pcovell@, maybe we should clarify differences between autocorrect/spellcheck etc. in the future?

I already implemented as Gboard Android style. Strokes fade out in 2 second. Begins the next stroke will commit the last candidate.
