Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_14_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3528.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. install Synergy (https://symless.com/synergy) server on one machine 2. install Synergy client on a Mac OS machine 3. install Canary on the client machine 4. click inside the URL field 5. press Cmd or Ctrl What is the expected behavior? No behaviour expected, until a keystroke is completed. What went wrong? Whole URL in the URL bar gets selected, as if Cmd+A was pressed (Select All). If you press, e.g. Cmd+C the following happens (in sequence): 1) whole URL gets selected 2) whole URL gets copied to clipboard Did this work before? Yes Unsure (a few Canary builds ago) Chrome version: 70.0.3528.0 Channel: canary OS Version: OS X 10.14.0 Flash Version: I know this seems like a Synergy issue, but the actual cause is very vague. It does not appear to happen when using a "local" keyboard. However, it also does not appear to happen on ANY other known browser tested (or any other app, for that matter). It does not happen in stable either. It also does not affect any other part of the UI *except* the URL bar.

Thanks for filing the issue! @Reporter: Currently we do not have Synergy server installed on any of our machines, to test and confirm the issue. Could you please provide any sample test credentials to login/download it from https://symless.com/synergy. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful.

You don't need sample credentials, the download is free: https://symless.com/synergy/downloads/list/s1

Tried downloading Synergy with the URL provided in comment#3, after signing in using Google account still we couldn't download it. Attaching the screen cast of the same for reference. @Reporter: Could you please have a look at the screen cast and let us know if we have missed anything in the process. Thanks!

Ugh, apologies. Looks like they've decided to hide the binaries behind a paywall recently, despite it still being open source. Their repo is here: https://github.com/symless/synergy-core Compiling instructions are here: https://github.com/symless/synergy-core/wiki/Compiling I fully understand if you don't feel like doing this.

Successfully installed Homebrew from the terminal by following the commands/instructions given in links provided in comment#6. In the process...we tried installing the latest version of Qt by choosing open source option, after downloading is complete, we were facing authentication issues to finish the installation process. It didn't help us even after 3-4 trials, hence removing label Needs-Bisect and tentatively adding component "UI>Input>KeyboardShortcuts". Requesting some one from respective team to have a look into this and help in further triaging it. Thanks!

Please file a new bug if this becomes easily accessible. [or file a bug with Synergy]. . I'm closing this for now.

I could reproduce this issue with `Barrier`. Barrier is forked from Synergy 1.9 and distributed by binary. https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/releases I think it is easy to reproduce with Barrier. My environment: - server Ubuntu 14.04 build from source because the barriers binary which distributed release page requires glibc 3.4. ./barriers -n mylinux -c ~/.barrier.conf -d DEBUG -f - client macOS 10.13.6 (High Sierra) use not Barrier.app but the barrierc binary directly. /Applications/Barrier.app/Contents/MacOS/barrierc -n mymac -d DEBUG -f mylinux |
