No scroll bar in a <Select> list if any <option> contains too many words

Use Windows with smaller resolution 2. https://jsfiddle.net/gna81p90/4/ What is the expected behavior? A scroll bar should appear in the right hand side of the list of select options. What went wrong? The very long <option> is not clipped/truncated according to the Windows resolution Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 68.0.3440.106 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.3 Flash Version: Urgent! Any PC user with a touch pad or scrolling mouse will not able to select other options in the list.

Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 68.0.3440.106 also on latest chrome 70.0.3530.0 using Mac 10.13.5, Ubuntu 17.10 and Windows 10. Same behavior is seen on M60(60.0.3112.113) hence considering it as non-regression and marking it as Untriaged. NOTE: Observed the Ubuntu behavior same as Firefox & IE but not seen scrollbar. Mac don't have scrollbar for <option>. This issue is because the the popup box is bigger than we can display, scrollbar shows off screen. Maybe we should set a limit width for option popup as what we do on mac.
