As the comment says, the need has not arised yet. Is there particular work in Chromium that needs it? Otherwise this is a WontFix.

Actually the need has arisen for Opera and we implemented it. Would you like us to upstream our code to Chromium?

Could you explain what the need was? That would help determine whether there's value in upstreaming.
