Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.106 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Get chrome 68.0.3440.106 on Ubuntu 16.04 and sign in to an account which has saved passwords. 2. Login to one or two sites with 'remember me' option. 3. Restart computer without closing chrome directly. (Might also happen if chrome is directly closed before restart) 4. Open chrome and revisit the sites which you were logged in to. In my case, the sites act as if you're visiting for the first time. 5. Go to login page. Chrome will not offer to autofill the password even though it used to do it previously. (E.g Facebook will ask if the browser should be saved) 6. Type in password and login. Chrome will ask to save password as though it wasn't already saved, even though it can be viewed at passwords.google.com 7. Change the password. Chrome will ask to save it - but when I revisit passwords.google.com , i still see the old password. What is the expected behavior? 1. You should stay logged in to sites you were logged in to, before restarting. 2. Passwords should be correctly synced and auto-filled as they used to be until today. What went wrong? Please see above. Did this work before? Yes Worked until yesterday, not sure if there was an update. Chrome version: 68.0.3440.106 Channel: stable OS Version: 16.04 Flash Version:

Things to check: 1. Are you sign-in in Chrome as opposite to e.g. gmail. 2. Does saved passwords appear in chrome://settings/passwords? 3. Does chrome://sync-internals/ displays any errors?
