Both, the most important is the content of webpages. Note that when the dpi setting is taken onto account (eg. 120) both browser UI and when content scale properly.

Tried to test this issue on reported chrome 68.0.3440.106 using 17.10 and Kubuntu 14.04. As of now we don't have Kubuntu 18.04.1. Attaching screen-cast for reference. Steps: ----- 1. Launched reported chrome 2. Navigated to setting changed dpi setting As we are observed that chrome browser changed gui to the new dpi setting with respect to dpi settings @Reporter: Could you please check the attached screen cast and please let us know if anything missed from our end and also mention that this issue specific to Kubuntu 18.04.1. and Could you please upgrade to latest chrome beta 69.0.3497.72, you can download latest chrome builds here:" https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel ". Let us know whether issue still persists. Thanks.!

It's not the "scale" settings that I meant but the font dpi setting.

For info, the Gnome setting is dconf > org.gnome.desktop.interface > text-scaling-factor
