position:sticky - jump seen when scrolling with --disable-prefer-compositing-to-lcd-text

Project Member Reported by smcgruer@chromium.org, Aug 22

Issue description

Reproduction steps:

1. Open Chrome with --disable-prefer-compositing-to-lcd-text set
2. Navigate to http://output.jsbin.com/tilequd (or attached html)
3. Scroll the scroller down to the bottom, and then back up to the top.

When the sticky nears the top/bottom of the page, probably near where it reaches the edge of its containing block, it suddenly jumps. This shouldn't happen (it isnt at a sticking point). Force any of it onto the compositor and the problem goes away.

Is the phenomenon very subtle? I run M69 on a low-res workstation, but I don't feel the sticky element being particularly jumpy. Both the scroller and sticky are not composited.

Huh, this is strange. It was not subtle at all, but I can no longer reproduce on ToT. I'll try a quick bisect of recent canarys to see if I can get it to work...
