Enable local override and save some changes on any page/asset in the source tab 2. Observe the save committed successfully, local file created and * disappeared from the tab 3. refresh the page and see the changes never take effect What is the expected behavior? Saved changes overriding original assets What went wrong? Local overrides not working. Changes can be saved locally, but won’t take effect when reloading the page Did this work before? Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 68.0.3440.106 and on the latest chrome version 70.0.3530.0 using Windows-10, Mac 10.13.3 and Ubuntu 14.04. As the issue is seen from introduction of overrides option in Devtools > Source tab from M-65(65.0.3320) considering it as non-regression and marking it as Untriaged Thanks...!!

As per offline discussion, the scenarios mostly involved editing html files.

I haven't been able to reproduce this. Is disable cache on?

I am also observing local modifications not work. I tried modifying html and javascript and both local modifications did not have any effect. I just sent feedback referencing this bug so hopefully someone can look at whatever data is sent over via that mechanism to get my browser info.

I was able to capture in video two runs (failed in normal mode and success in incognito) for everyone to reference. Failed: https://youtu.be/D0KlaBKViIE Success: https://youtu.be/Dl0ore0ml-g

Experiencing the same both in normal and in incognito on Pixelbook with ChromeOS 71.0.3578.85 (oficial build) beta (64 bits). Tried with several different sites, including google.es Chrome doesn't give any indicator of the override not working: It allows me to enable overrides, it asks for local files access, select folder, edit and save a file, but nothing happens. |
