Checking again with flag disabled: 70.0.3524.2 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) Google_Eve.9584.160.0 #ash-keyboard-shortcut-viewer-app set to 'Disabled' Improved in that it can reader larger sections of the app, up to 6 shortcuts. However, if you select the entire contents of the whole app screen, nothing is read. It also reproduces if you select 7 or more shortcuts. Keeping bug open.

Unclear if this is an app-specific problem or not, so leaving the Proj-Mash label.

Looks like the hit test in some cases is never calling the Javascript callback, especially if the hit test occurs near the center of the screen where there are fewer elements. So Select-to-Speak never gets any elements to speak because the hittest is not successful. The next question is why is the hittest not returning anything?

katie, do you if the hittest is still having problems with about:flags #ash-keyboard-shortcut-viewer-app is disabled? Or just in the enable/default case?

Yes, the hittest is still not calling back consistently even with ash-keyboard-shortcut-viewer-app disabled.

Cannot repro this one. I can set a larger area > 6 items. |
