Emoji entry point breaks launcher

Chrome Version: 69 beta

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Long press search box in Launcher
(2) Click on Emoji

What is the expected result?
Emoji keyboard is open or not having that option appear at all

What happens instead?
Launcher breaks and open fullscreen

Thanks for the report. I can't really tell from the video, but when you launch the emoji keyboard, do you still see some shadows/semi-transparent areas that indicates that the keyboard is being shown?

AFAICT, the shelf is WAI, but it might be that the accessibility emoji keyboard is not being rendered. In that case, it may be related to 875456.

Seems like the issue of the keyboard not showing up is fixed, but now the emoji keyboard overrlaps the launcher in clamshell mode.

Hmm yeah, the interaction between the launcher and the accessibility keyboard (same idea as emoji keyboard) is not ideal. I've attached a video showing some of the issues.

newcomer@, what should the expected behaviour be? Should we follow the behaviour of the launcher in tablet mode?

Since the crash is no longer reproducing, lowering the priority, changing the milestone and removing the release block stable label.

This behavior is fine for us. I will file a bug to make the search results page look better though. Thanks all.
