Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. highlight a word
2. Right click, select "Search Google for 'highlighted text'
3. in new tab select one of the tabs under the search bar "Video, news, books, maps, images" etc

to continue loading

the tab just closes.

It doesn't seem to happen from every website. but it definitely happens from pornhub.com
