Why do you need a 64-bit version? Other than 64-bit plugins (which can be supported without needing an entirely 64-bit Chrome, just out-of-process plugin stuff) I can't think of any reason why, unless you intend to run a REALLY memory-intensive web app.

Re why 64 bit Improve performance, quality and size.

Not to mention it is stupid I have to maintain both a 64 bit and a 32 bit java installation JUST for chrome. Get with the program already people it is 2012 and still nothing on Chrome for windows 64. I'm tired of waiting, moving to Firefox until this project gets it act together. What a joke, promising 64 bit support since freaking 2008 and nothing.
