[MacViews]: Command-E doesn't work in the omnibox

Project Member Reported by a...@chromium.org, Aug 16

Issue description

:(

Can you elaborate? What is it you think Command-e should do?

I've tried Command-e in Cocoa Chrome and Safari and it doesn't seem to do anything there either. No shortcut is listed at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201236.
The mystery of this unknown shortcut was driving me crazy so I figured it out with a bit more digging. Apparently it's supposed to copy the selected text to the find buffer:

http://leancrew.com/all-this/2017/11/command-e/

So you don't have to do Command-C, Command-F, Command-V, Command-G. Command-E basically does those first three in one step.
Command-E puts the selected text onto the Find Pasteboard.

Cocoa Chrome used an NSTextField for the omnibox so I'm surprised that it didn't work for you.

I does work for me. I just didn't understand what it was doing until I figured out what the expectation for Command-e was. It doesn't really produce any obvious effect if you don't know what it's trying to do.
