eric is doing investigation on this to see if this is needed for migration. From talking with eric: mdns uses an entirely separate cache instead of the normal HostCache, so all the concerns of separate caches go away.

Confirmed. MDNS cache is completely separate from the shared DNS cache. Not using the shared DNS cache; not a canary blocker.

With commit 9871aafa3bedffec7590bb7bb67e20c3c322593b, this should be unblocked. Service host resolution will now use multicast dns if |source| is set to MULTICAST_DNS.
