Some notes from dsexton:

The progress bar while installing the 300 mb update did not speak with 
ChromeVox

The install button was still visible to ChromeVox while the install took 
place

When I pressed install a second time during the download, it closed the 
window and when I went again to enable linux beta it said it was already 
installed.


2. Open the terminal app

Upon opening terminal there was again an install button which when 
pressed, almost instantly opened terminal
