Problem with displaying Google logo

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/68.0.3440.75 Chrome/68.0.3440.75 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
https://google.com

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Chromium at start page or home address (https://google.com).

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
Google logo displayed with error - yellow letter "o" has an inner and outer thin green border.

Same problem at incognito mode on home search page.

Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A

Is it a problem with a plugin? No 

Did this work before? Yes 

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 68.0.3440.75  Channel: stable
OS Version: 4.15.0-30-generic #32~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jul 26 20:25:39 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Duplicate of  bug 867813  fixed in Chrome 69 (three weeks until it becomes stable).
