kerberos authentication with a cname hostname fails

Reported by matthias...@googlemail.com, Aug 14

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.32 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Access a webserver with kerberos authentication by an url with a cname instead of the real hostname.

What is the expected behavior?
In our productive version 68.0.3440.106 it worked with the cname.

What went wrong?
Kerberos authentication with the webserver fails when we access the webserver by the cname. When we change the url to the real hostname, the kerberos authentication works.

Did this work before? Yes 68.0.3440.106

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.32 Channel: beta
OS Version: 10.0
