vkhabarov - were you able to repro the issue? Are logs from you or customer? What is showing in sign builder? Are CfM units running hot at time of black screen?
Jay - no, we were not able to repro the issue, logs are from customer. Our Chromebits just hang at some point, still showing last screen, I've asked clarify what customer actually sees (their description is cryptic, but we have another customer with similar issue, who says that screen turns off).
Content is four part screen - two plain html pages, one refreshing image (web camera feeds, refreshed every five minutes) and one Google Presentation page.
is customer app policy and content public that you were able to use for repro?

It sounds like you are seeing an issue with hangs but it doesn't exactly match customer report? Does customer have non-veyron / mickey devices and do they repro the issue?
Based on the description - "Our Chromebits just hang at some point, still showing last screen"

Possibly related to issue #865025 - Application freezing, gpu process crash on Veyron

After initial testing we confirmed all Rockchip devices we tested were affected (Chromebit, Chromebase/Chromebox mini, etc). Intel devices do not seem to be affected.

We also saw black screen and crash/reboot during our testing. After the initial hang the device is in an unknown state and may render things oddly during DOM updates (if at all). If we ever did see an update (black screen, partial content, etc) it was almost always followed with a crash and reboot some time later.
I'll try to clarify what happens to the video - since I might be one of the customers mentioned in comment 2.

Chrome Sign Builder runs for a while showing its content. At some point all content freezes, i.e. the content no longer updates on screen. If I unplug the HDMI connection and plug it in again, the screen is all black. If I then plug in a USB keyboard/mouse, I can see a mouse cursor moving on the otherwise black screen. The mouse cursor changes from an arrow to the "I-beam" cursor if I hover over a place on the black screen where text should be.

re #c3
Sorry, I mixed up those two cases. In initial case for this bug content is not public. But customer replied that device is normal temperature and *Displays detect 1920x1080 resolution but show nothing. They
lock into the black screen and don't sleep.*
Also they said they tried all versions 62-67 and they all have this issue.
I'll ask if they have other types of devices to try, but it seems to be limited to Rockchip ones.
Customer confirmed that issue is limited to Rockchip devices. I suspect this is the same as crbug.com/865025 , waiting for http://crrev.com/c/1133614 to land in some builds.
