Issue descriptionChrome Version:70.0.3521.0 (Official Build) Revision 96b3e88306e2a71a9e1f4c77a79e39f597c199b9-refs/branch-heads/3521@{#1} (32/64-bit) OS: Windows (7, 8, 8.1, 10) Pre-condition: Enable 'Enable using the Google local NTP' and 'New Tab Page Background Selection' under chrome://flags. What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch Chrome and navigate to NTP . 2. Click on 'Gear' icon to open 'Customize this page' overlay, drag to resize the window and observe. Actual Result : Ghost text(Restore default background) is seen misplaced in 'Customize this page' overlay. Expected Result: Ghost text(Restore default background) should not be seen misplaced. This is Non-Regression issue seen from ‘M-70’ as 'Restore default shortcut' option has been introduced from build #70.0.3509.0 Kindly review the attached screen-cast for reference. Note: This is Windows specific issue and same is not reproducible in Mac(10.12.6, 10.13.1, 10.13.6, 10.14) & Linux(14.04 LTS) OS. Thank you..!!

Update : Retested above issue on Windows (7, 8, 8.1, 10) OS using latest Canary #70.0.3522.0 and issue is reproducible. Note: 1. Kindly note issue is not reproducible on Mac(10.12.6, 10.13.1, 10.13.6, 10.14) & Linux(14.04 LTS) OS. 2. Try to resize the window by dragging from RHS to LHS to maximum limit. Kindly review the attached screen-cast. Thank you

I still can't repro here, but leaving it open and moving to M71 target, based on priority & remaining M70 window being short.

Still not reproducible on 71.0.3575.0. The difference here seems to be due to thumbnails, which are not supported in M69+. |
