Issue descriptionTHIS TEMPLATE IS FOR FILING BUGS ON THE ANDROID SYSTEM WEBVIEW. GENERAL WEB BUGS SHOULD BE FILED USING A DIFFERENT TEMPLATE! Device name: Android version: WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView): Application: Application version: URLs (if applicable): Steps to reproduce: (1) use chrome(web and Android) and search movie "solo: a star wars story" (2) check the ratings of imdb, algorithm shows 3.9 (3) navigate to imdb and search "solo: a star wars story" movie rating is 7.1 (4) I believe algorithm is showing the rating of "solo" movie released in 1996 and somehow algorithm is ignoring the strings coming after special character :, and that is why movie rating shown are misleading. Expected result: imdb rating should be shown 7.1, Note: I haven't verified the ratings of rotten tomatoes and metacritic but I feel those rating maybe getting wrongly displayed Snapshots attached. Thank you, Subash

Able to reproduce this issue on Pixel 2 XL/Android 9. Seeing same behavior in desktop chrome versions as well. Obsdervations: ============== On searching it shows https://www.google.co.in/search?q=solo%3A+a+star+wars+story&oq=solo%3A+a+star+wars+story&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58j69i60l3.838j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8, on clicking on imdb link it navigates to different movie with same title "solo 1996" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117688/. This issue is seen in Firefox as well and is not related to chrome browser. Hence adding Hotlist-GoogleApps and marking as Untriaged for further investigation from dev team.

This is has nothing to do with chrome or webview. See that 3 dot button in your screenshot to the right of the movie title. There's a Send feedback link there. |
