Hmm, after using the gl tint flag to debug, I realised that you need to put the scribble demo into full page mode in order for it to use the hardware overlay? It definitely feels faster now! We'll consider using it for handwriting on M72.

Actually I think there are still a few bugs with low latency canvas? (I recall there was something broken when rotating the screen). I think we would like to wait for these bugs to be squashed before we switch over :) Let's aim for M73.
