That crash report is a SIGABRT in arc-networkd, which looks like it's tracked by issue 825365. It's probably unrelated to any suspend failures you may be seeing.

Please file a feedback report with Alt+Shift+i immediately after logging in after the next time you see this, and mention "872558" in the description and leave a comment here. Thanks!

Just noticed that Duncan previously commented on an email thread about this:

"It looks like you are hitting an EC panic while in the suspend state:

350 | 2018-04-19 09:58:49 | ACPI Enter | S3
351 | 2018-04-19 10:04:00 | System boot | 39
352 | 2018-04-19 10:04:00 | EC Event | Panic Reset in previous boot

In the logs there are 3 reports of this in the past couple of weeks.

When the EC panic happens it triggers a reboot of the system and since the lid is closed the OS will shut the device down after it boots. Next time you open the lid it is powering on instead of resuming.

There is a new firmware in R67 that will be pushed to dev channel next week and I am hopeful it will fix this issue..."

This is likely a dupe of b/68759436.

Lets track progress there.
