Bluetooth successive disconnect until death

Reported by nicholas...@gmail.com, Aug 8

Issue description

Chrome Version: 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chrome OS Version: 10575.58.0 (Official Build) stable-channel caroline / Google_Caroline.7820.356.0
Chrome OS Platform: Samsung Pro
Network info: N/A

Steps To Reproduce:
(1) Connect to any bluetooth device.
(2) Wait/use device normally.

Expected Result:
No bluetooth crash.

Actual Result:
Bluetooth disconnects.
Bluetooth becomes unresponsive to ChromeOS bluetooth menu commands.
(Reconnection viable via bluetoothctl.)
After several disconnects bluetooth becomes ultimately unresponsive to any (active) bluetoothctl commands.

How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)
Always, though it takes between minutes to about one hour to occur. (Estimated mean time 10 min.)
INDEPENDENT of signal strength and concurrent wifi usage.

What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it?
Renders usage of bluetooth devices extremely cumbersome/unusable.
Hard reboot.
Software reboot only results in disappearance of the ChromeOS bluetooth menu.
