This is an expected artifact due to how the experiments are set up. Because MacViews is enabled by default, the first launch will present MacViews. After the first launch, the seed will download and will place you into an Enabled or Disabled group. If you are in the disabled group, the next launch will take you out of MacViews. The way to verify you are in the disabled group is to fire up chrome://version and to check the variation hashes.
