Intl.NumberFormat en-GB adding "GBP" instead of a "£" symbol

Reported by david.r...@ocado.com, Aug 8

Issue description

Device name: One Plus 3T

From "Settings > About Chrome"
Application version: Chrome 68.0.3440.91
Operating system: Android 8.0.0

URLs (if applicable):

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Open device with remote debugging
(2) Copy Intl.NumberFormat('en-GB', {style:'currency', currency: 'GBP'}).format(12.34) into the console

Expected result: "£12.34"

Actual result: "GBP12.34"

Components: Blink>JavaScript>Internationalization
Chrome 68.0.3440.84 on OSX gives me the correct result:

Intl.NumberFormat('en-GB', {style:'currency', currency: 'GBP'}).format(12.34)
> "£12.34"

Can anyone confirm if this is just on android?

This seems to be a similar issue which was confirmed on Android. I personally have tested this on desktop, OSX and Android, Android was the only one to show the issue.
