Tested the issue on Android and no shift in webpage video is seen. Steps followed: 1. Launch chrome and Navigate to example url mentioned in comment #0. 2. Enable auto rotate option for device. 3. Now start playing the video and rotate device frequently(tried till video finishes) 4. No shift in webpage video is seen. Chrome version: 67.0.3396.87 & 68.0.3440.91 (latest stable) OS: 7.0 Android Devices: Samsung J7 @Reporter: Could you please update chrome to latest stable #68.0.3440.91 and let us know if issue persists. Normally, overlays are positioned exactly where the non-overlay video would be. However, due to how overlays work, it has to adjust for things like the android status bar. This normally happens in DialogOverlayImpl.scheduleLayout (nativeGetCompositorOffset). This call results in (eventually) a call to here to get the information from android: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/ui/android/java/src/org/chromium/ui/base/ViewAndroidDelegate.java?rcl=0b261f4caa38f7837a4ed82f675e5fbf820938f0&l=368 I suspect that it's a timing issue, that some transition is still in progress on the android side when we get the offset, and never notice that it changes. Could you try the following test: 1) Get the video playback to be offset from where it should be. 2) pause the video. 3) exit full screen. 4) is the video properly positioned? 5) enter full screen 6) is the video properly positioned now?
