Issue descriptionGoogle Chrome 70.0.3511.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) Firmware Version Google_Eve.9584.160.0 Steps: # Load a page with text on the right side such as https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat # Turn on Select to Speak from Settings > Manage Accessibility Settings # Invoke feature on text on the right side of the page, in this case the small box with pictures and information on cats # While STS is reading, open the status tray menu Expected: status menu overwrites the focus highlight Actual: focus highlight seen over status menu This also reproduces with the ChromeVox focus highlight for a moment but then the ChromeVox focus lands on the user icon. (I can only intermittently get it to stay on over the status menu.)

This one sounds moderately difficult because focus rings wouldn't be able to be drawn on top of everything else any more, instead they'd need a concept of which layer they are attached to. I'm going to mark as P3 because I don't think it impacts users too much -- it's just a visual quirk. Feel free to put back at P2 if you disagree. |
